Jade says the row started inside the pub, and she intervened when a woman hit her sister.

The victim of the brutal attack told Cork 96FM's Opinion Line with PJ Coogan: "I tried to pull one of them off my sister, she got me down on the ground and she kept hitting me.

The altercation inside the pub was broken up by security staff, but the incident continued outside on the street.

"She ripped my top off. I got a kick in the face, dig in the head, my eyes were left purple. One of them would hit me, I'd get up, another one would hit me."

Jade has been left bloodied and bruised with black eyes. She thinks she may have lost consciousness for a while. Her family are angry that security staff outside a number of premises in the area did not help her or try to stop the attacks.
