Young woman hit by scrambler bike in Dublin left seriously injured

A woman in her 20s was hit by a scrambler bike on Priorswood Road on Sunday night.

The incident happened at around 11pm and emergency services rushed to the scene.

The woman was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment and is said to have serious injuries.

A garda spokesperson said: "One scrambler bike and one pedestrian were involved in this collision. The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 20s, was conveyed to Beaumont Hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained as a result of this collision."

"This road is currently closed as emergency services continue to attend the scene and should be re-opened shortly."
