A police investigation is underway after a young woman was allegedly grabbed and dragged down an alleyway off a busy Glasgow street.
The shocking incident reportedly took place near Buchanan Street late on Wednesday night and involved a 23-year-old woman.
A warning post, shared on social media, told how the victim managed to knee the man in the groin as he tried to pull her clothes off, Glasgow Live reports.
It read: “Hey everyone, just be careful when in town. I was walking down Buchanan Street last night and a guy dragged me into a lane.
“He was pulling at my clothes trying to get them off but I managed to fight him off.
"I kneed him in the groin a couple of times and managed to get away. A group of girls found me and got me in a taxi home.
“The police are currently carrying out an investigation, with everything going on just now please be careful!"
Police Scotland have confirmed they were notified on Thursday and that their enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
A spokesperson said: “Around 2.25pm on Thursday, 4 November, officers received a report of an assault on a 23-year-old woman that had taken place in George Street, Glasgow.
"Police enquiries are ongoing."
