A young woman has been assaulted in the early hours of the morning at a Glasgow park.
The 21-year-old had been walking on Kelvin Way when the attack took place at around 3.55am on Saturday, December 18.
She was approached from behind by the suspect, who assaulted her and left her with minor injuries, before he fled off on foot heading towards Argyle Street and Sauchiehall Street.
He has been described as male, in his mid-50s, around 5ft 10ins tall, of a slim build with short grey hair.
The suspect is believed to have been wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans at the time of the incident.
Detective Inspector Darren Munogee, of Cathcart CID, said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim and despite it happening in the early hours of the morning, we are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened, or who may have seen the victim or suspect immediately prior to, or after, the assault.
“I would like to reassure the local community that officers will be conducting additional patrols in the area throughout the investigation.”
