Young woman arrested after €180,000 worth of crystal meth seized at Dublin Airport

A young woman has been arrested after crystal meth worth €180,000 was seized at Dublin Airport on Sunday.

The woman, aged in her 20s, is currently held at Ballymun Garda Station in connection with the seizure.

Officers alongside Revenue found 3kgs of Crystal Methamphetamine, with an estimated value of €180,000, at the airport on Sunday.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí in Ballymun have arrested a woman in connection with a Revenue operation resulting in the seizure of 3kgs of Crystal Methamphetamine, with an estimated value of €180,000, at Dublin Airport yesterday, 13th December 2020.

"The woman in her 20’s was taken to Ballymun Garda Station where she is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

"Investigation is ongoing."
