A student teacher was "disgusted" after she saw a man masturbating in front of her in broad daylight in Drumcondra last week.
Laura, 22, spotted the man as she walked to a local shop near Drumcondra train station at around 9:30am on Friday morning.
The student, who attends the nearby St Patrick's College, was so shocked after the encounter that she could barely eat her food when she returned home.
She told Dublin Live she first spotted the man, who was in his late 30s or early 40s and wearing a blue tracksuit, as she walked from St Patrick's Road past the train station.
She said: "I was there about 5-10 mins and when I was walking back up towards St Patrick’s Road he was standing there and when I got closer it became pretty clear that he was masturbating on the side of the road.
"When I noticed I said, 'Oh my god' but at the same time I moved my umbrella so that I couldn’t see him so I don’t know if he took any notice of me and then I trotted back up the road because I wanted away from him ASAP.
"It was disgusting, I couldn’t believe what I had just seen."
A similar incident took place in the same area earlier this year.
In June, a woman was walking alone along St Joseph's Avenue around 2pm on a Sunday afternoon when she was approached by a man believed to have been driving a light blue car.
When the car slowed up next to her, the woman discovered that the deviant driver had no trousers on and he pleasuring himself while driving, with the shocked woman immediately running away from the scene.
