Young Wishaw woman praised for dedication and hard work during pandemic

Caring key worker Hannah Muircroft, 23, has been nominated for the Wishaw Press Say It With flowers competition by her loving sister, Caitlin.

The 23-year-old former Clyde Valley High pupil has recently graduated from Dundee University with an English and Politics Masters of Arts degree with honours.

As well as furthering her dreams in local politics, the young Wishaw woman has also did her bit as a retail key worker throughout the pandemic.

And Hannah has also devoted time to caring for the needs of her grandmother during lockdown and is committed to serving her local community.

Caitlin said: “Hannah is always helping everyone. During the pandemic she helped my gran by getting her shopping.

“She also worked at Holland and Barrett in East Kilbride, as well as doing her full-time university course.

“She has worked so hard during the past year, but wasn’t able to go to her graduation ceremony, which was cancelled due to Covid.

“She was so disappointed after four years of hard work. I just want to congratulate her for getting her degree and to say how proud we all are of her.

Caitlin went on: “Hannah is really passionate about getting involved in local politics. She always keeps up-to-date with what’s going on locally. That’s where her passions and interests lie.”

And when Caitlin told us about Hannah, we were delighted to recognise her efforts, presenting her with these stunning flowers, courtesy of our friends at Pixies Petals.

“She will be happy to receive these flowers and will be really surprised that I have nominated her,” added Caitlin.
