Young teen rammed off bike by car in frightening crash on busy Dublin road

A young teenager was rammed off his bike by a car in a terrifying crash on a busy Dublin road late last night.

The frightening collision happened on the Ballyfermot Road just before 10pm.

The boy cyclist was rushed to St. James's Hospital where he is still recovering from his injuries.

A Garda investigation has been launched with officers asking for witnesses to come forward.

A spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating a road traffic collision that occurred between a car and bicycle on the Ballyfermot Road last night, Wednesday 23rd September at approximately 9:55pm.

He added: "A male juvenile in his late teens, who was the cyclist, was taken to St James Hospital to be treated for his injuries."

He concluded: "Investigations are ongoing and no further information is available at this time."
