'Young steamers' create NHS tribute in Glasgow park after Corona beer drinking session

A pair of 'young steamers' in a Glasgow park illustrated that you can never really judge a book by its cover - by creating a tribute to the NHS out of their empty bottles.

The two were sitting drinking bottles of Corona beer in Maryhill Park while presumably enjoying the majestic views afforded across to the Campsie Hills in the background when a concerned local, seeing them halfway through their crate of beer, reminded them not to forget to dispose of the bottles in the bin after they had finished them.

One of the pair responded that the reason they weren't putting the empties in the bin was that they were creating an NHS tribute on the nearby grass for people to see.

The scenario that played out was revealed by the local who spoke to the pair, who took to Twitter to share details of his funny encounter with the youngsters.

He wrote: "Walking through Maryhill Park - encounter two young steamers, halfway through a crate of beer. Messy in many ways.

"Don't forget to chuck the bottles in the bin lads.

*wee guy points to empties lying nearby*

"Naw mate, we were trying tae spell out NHS on the grass"

A short while after the pair had left, the local returned to the spot in the park to confirm that they had indeed spelt out the letters NHS with the 16 bottles they had polished - with the local since confirming that the bottles were then put in the bin.

Never change Glasgow!
