After returning from the misadventure in Ireland, Sherlock and Mycroft return to London. As he his sixteen, Sherlock must start thinking about education so he is sent to the Oxford University campus. Matty, Sherlock's only friend in London, decides to come with him. As soon as he gets there, he is thrown into mystery, and instinctively decides to solve it. That leads him to a mangled ex-police officer and his collection of fake body parts and poisonous creatures. There he is told of another mystery, just waiting to be solved…
Sherlock Holmes is a growing young adult and is finding solving mysteries increasingly easy. Matty Annat is Sherlock's plucky side-kick and friend.
I enjoyed the increasing intensity of the plot and the depth of the mystery.
