Young Reds fan sends James Milner good luck charm 'guaranteeing' Liverpool Premier League win

Over the course of the next few weeks, Liverpool will be looking to remain top of the Premier League table as the title run-in reaches fever pitch.

So far, the Reds have won 23 out of 31 league matches played, only suffering defeat once at the hands of Manchester City.

And their charge for the title could get a boost - thanks to one young boy's good luck charm.

Reds midfielder James Milner recently hosted a Christmas giveaway, celebrating his first year on social media.

He asked his followers to send in comedy videos and the one that tickled him the most would win the shirt he wore during the Reds victory against Paris Saint Germain.

When the results were announced on Christmas Eve, a young boy named Finn Martin won the competition after his Chelsea supporting sisters produced a festive jingle.

After receiving the shirt, Finn wrote Milner a sweet thank you note and also included a special gift.

In the letter, the young supporter wrote: "Thank you so much for the jersey. I wear it every game day.

"I am now unfortunately indebted to my sisters, but it's worth it."

Attached to the note was a red and white bracelet, which Finn explained was a good luck charm.

He continued: "I made this bracelet for you, if you wear it on match days, we will win the league.

"Cheering you on in the USA, Finn Martin."

Posting the letter on his Instagram page, Milner wrote: "Nice touch from my #makemillylaugh winner Finn."
