Young people break into food bank and destroy items meant for hungry families

A group of young people broke into a food bank damaging items kept in in the store room.

The yobs struck at Ty Hapus Community Resource Centre based in Llandudno, Wales, 'wrecking' the room, before pouring out items such as soup and cereal onto the land at the back of the building.

They even wasted toothpaste that was donated, North Wales Live reports.

The charity posted on Facebook: "This is completely senseless and this food could be helping someone you know."

"We have spent a lot of time trawling through CCTV and have identified [those involved].

"Before we pass this info to the police we are giving you the chance to come and apologise and replace what you wasted and no more will be said.

"However if we don’t hear anything by Tuesday the CCTV footage will handed to the police."

Many Facebook users commented on the post calling it "shocking".

One user even reported that they were "gutted that people can stoop so low".

The charity is appealing for any information, saying: "If anybody knows these young people please urge them to come see us ASAP."
