Young mum told she looks 'old' at 22 as daughter steals her youthfulness

Bringing up kids cane be a tough slog, as parents put the needs of their offspring before their own.

Little surprise then that one mum has blamed parenthood for prematurely ageing her.

The Daily Star reports how mum and step-mum Kendra Sykes admitted people often consider her "old" - even though she's only 22.

Revealing the impact of becoming a parent in a TikTok clip, she says her changed lifestyle has really taken its toll and blamed her “ageing” looks on her little girl, Thalia.

Her post has now gone viral, notching up more than 280,000 views as fellow parents sympathise with her and offer helpful tips.

In one clip, Kendra, who uses the TikTok handle @crzctldy66, captioned it: “An old wives tale once said little girls steal their mothers beauty.”

Throughout the clip, Kendra is filming herself with her baby in the background.

Over the video, she subtitles a comment which has been made by a previous TikTok user on her videos.

It read: “She looks so old and has acne… she must be a drvg (SIC) addict!!!”

Kendra replied to this: “Nope I had a daughter and she stole my youth.”

Thousands of people rushed to the comment on the now-viral video, with one person writing: “My mom (SIC) would say this to me and I grew up feeling so much guilt.

“I hope you never let her hear you say that.”

Another added: “Girl you should see a doctor there’s gotta be a medical condition causing you to age so much at 22.”

A fellow mum also chimed in: “I can tell you that three hours of night sleep for more than three months can be a problem.

“She looks like me in my first year after birth. A lot of hormone change, a bit of after birth depression... and you can look this way too.”

Whilst someone else wrote: “Wow, people are so mean. I'm sorry, that's just a gross thing to say about someone else. You and your baby are beautiful!”

Another also offered: “Could be from chronic dehydration. I had a friend who only drank Pepsi, worked ok for her until she got pregnant, then her skin did a similar thing.”

Kendra replied to this: “Honestly probably is ! I drink so much coffee and forget to drink water.”
