A young mother-of-two was given the heart-breaking news she has terminal cancer and only has months left to live.
Kimberley Laddie, 31, was admitted to hospital after experiencing pains in her stomach three months ago.
She was diagnosed with liver and lung cancer and the mum to Jack, three, and Kiera, 10, was told she had just months left to live, according to Chronicle Live.
Family friend Stephen Renwick said: “She has been diagnosed with cancer of the liver and lungs but they can’t find the primary source.
“They can’t give her treatment so they have given her six to 12 months.
“She has started a trial treatment that has never been used before to see if they could get her any extra time.
“I have been friends with her since we were children so I have known her all my life.”

He added: “It has been emotional for the past three months. I have been staying with her and helping her with the kids and going to hospital appointments."
Now, the community is rallying together to raise funds for the family so they can make memories together.
A fundraising day is being planned for the Horse and Groom pub in Castleside on June 19 that will include a raffle and day of entertainment.
Stephen added: “She is wanting to take the kids to Disneyland and wants to make as many memories as possible.
“We are trying to raise as much money as possible to make this most devastating journey as comfortable for Kimberley and her children.
“All the local businesses and the community have been fantastic in providing prizes, entertainment and decorations.”
