A young mum pushing a baby in a buggy had a "narrow miss" after a gang of youths allegedly threw fireworks in her direction.
The frightening incident took place on Tuesday evening near the Belgard Luas stop in Tallaght, south Dublin.
The gang were reportedly throwing fireworks over a wall and into oncoming rush hour traffic, when they almost hit the woman and her child, Dublin Live reports.
A horrified resident shared details of the shocking incident on a local residents' group.
They said: "I just got off the Luas coming home from work and some kids from inside our estate were hiding behind the wall between us and the Belgard Luas stop.
"They were lighting fireworks and throwing them over the wall, regardless of whether they hit a person or a car.
"They narrowly missed a woman who was wheeling her baby in a buggy.
"I dread to think what could've happened to that baby."
The resident then claimed that the gang said, "You can't touch me" when approached about their behaviour by passers-by.
The concerned local urged fellow residents to talk to their kids about the dangers of fireworks.
Neighbours were disgusted by the reports, with one woman slamming the "shocking behaviour".
While another added: "Thats appalling. Just imagine the damage they could cause."
