Young man with autism allegedly assaulted and robbed in frightening West Dublin attack

A young man with autism was allegedly assaulted and robbed in Clondalkin last night.

The shocking incident took place in the Kilcronan corner of Bawnogue in the sprawling West Dublin suburb.

Footage obtained by Dublin Live shows the victim on his hands and knees searching the ground.

Two people can be seen standing over him, one holding the bag that was allegedly stolen from the poor lad.

The victim's phone and some money were also allegedly taken from him, and his glasses were allegedly broken during the apparent assault.

The young man was transported to hospital by a concerned local who came across him after his alleged attackers fled the scene.

Dublin Live have contacted An Garda Siochana about the terrifying incident.
