Young man suffers serious head injuries in motorbike crash in Finglas, North Dublin

A 25-year-old suffered serious head injuries after a crash in North Dublin on Monday evening.

The man was rushed to hospital after a motorbike crash on Jamestown Road, Finglas, at around 4.30pm.

Gardai sealed off the scene and a full forensic examination took place into the night.

The man was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are currently at the scene of a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on Jamestown Road, Finglas at approximately 4.30pm on Monday, 3rd February 2020.

"A 25-year-old male who was driving a motorcycle received serious head injuries during the collision and has been taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment. Investigations ongoing."
