A man was stabbed in the chest in Glasgow's city centre while witnesses "filmed or photographed it using their mobile phones".
The 22-year-old was seriously assaulted shortly before 2.45pm on Tuesday (June 23) in St Enoch Square. He received treatment at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and it has been confirmed his injuries are not life-threatening.
Police Scotland have said CCTV appears to show a number of people filming the incident on their phones.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a man described as being around 20 years old and of a slim build, with a dark beard. He was wearing a khaki jacket, similar trousers, a grey skip cap with the logo "NY" in white, dark trainers and carrying a JD Sports pink and red bag.
Detective Constable Graham Nicolson, of Stewart Street CID, said: "Our enquiries are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have information to come forward.
"We have reviewed CCTV footage from the area and it appears a number of people may have witnessed the incident and some may have filmed or photographed it using their mobile phones.
"I urge anyone who would be able to assist to get in touch.
