Young man stabbed in car park in broad day light in Longford airlifted to Dublin hospital

A young man has been airlifted to Dublin hospital after being stabbed in broad day light in a car park in Longford.

The man, who is said to be in his early 20s, was viciously attacked at Killashee Street in Longford at around 2pm.

Reports have said that the man received a number of stab wounds to his face, arm and head.

Teen rushed to hospital after being stabbed by gang in industrial estate in Clane, Co Kildare 

He is in a serious condition at St. James's Hospital but his injuries are not life threatening.

In a statement to Dublin Live, Gardai said that they "are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident at Killashee St. Longford today, April 1 at approximately 2pm.

"A male in his early 20s received stab injuries. He has been taken by Air Ambulance to St James Hospital in Dublin.

There has been no update on his condition and no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. Gardaí wish to appeal for witnesses to contact Longford Garda Station on 043- 3350570.
