A man needed hospital treatment after suffering a head injury during a serious assault in Glasgow.
The 23-year-old was attacked in the Garrioch Road area of Maryhill at around 8.15pm on Friday.
Police said he was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by ambulance with a "serious head injury".
Offifers are appealing for information about the incident.
Detective Sergeant Gillian Alexander, of Maryhill CID, said: “We are trying to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I am appealing to anyone in the area, or nearby streets, who may have seen something to come forward.
“There are a number of takeaways in the area and it would have been busy at that time of night. Also, if anyone was driving in the area and has dash-cam footage that may help with our enquiries, then please get in touch.
