A young man was airlifted to hospital after falling off a cliff during a "night out" and possibly suffering internal and spinal injuries.
The dramatic rescue operation was launched after the man and two others became stranded at North Berwick Law in the Scottish Borders in the early hours of Saturday morning.
It happened at about 1.45am after the three men - all aged in their early 20s - had been on a "night on the town" and decided to go for a "jaunt", the Daily Record reports.
Police Scotland launched a rescue operation which also involved the fire service, ambulance, Borders Search and Rescue Unit (BSRU) and coastguards.
Two BSRU members abseiled to the scene and secured the injured man.

A rope access fire crew then assisted with the airlift operation.
The man was airlifted by helicopter to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
The two other men, who escaped injury, were helped from the hillside by ambulance and BSRU members.
Bob McKeand, BSRU team leader, said: "They were three lads out after a night out on the town.
"The information we have is they were out for a jaunt.
"One of them fell and got fairly seriously injured.
"There was certainly bleeding from the head. Possible other injuries, in terms of spinal and internal."
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "A multi-agency response was co-ordinated after a call was received at 1.45am on Saturday.
"Three males were stranded on North Berwick Law.
"The males were successfully recovered from the hillside and one of the males was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he is being treated."
