Young man dies suddenly in Scots home as cops probe 'unexplained' death

A young man has died suddenly in a home in Fife. Police Scotland have launched a probe into the death, which they are treating as "unexplained".

Cops were called to Whyte Rose Terrace in Methil, in the early hours of this morning, after a 27-year-old man was found dead at a property.

Officers have cordoned off the street with access blocked off at the entrance nearest Tower Bar, according to local reports.

An investigation has been launched by the force, who say enquiries are "ongoing".

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to an address in Whyte Rose Terrace, Methil, Leven around 1.10am on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, following the sudden death of a 27-year-old man.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing."
