A young man has died after he was found injured in a Scots car park.
Police have launched a probe after the incident happened in Greenock at around 3.50pm on Sunday, January 2.
The 22-year-old was discovered badly hurt at a car park off Ann Street in the town.
Emergency services raced to the scene and the man was rushed to Inverclyde Royal Hospital for treatment.
Tragically, he died a short time later. His next of kin are aware.
Police say their enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a 22-year-old man who found injured at a car park off Ann Street in Greenock around 3.50pm on Sunday, 2 January.
“The man was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital but died a short time later.
“His next of kin are aware.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
