Young man dies after horror crash between tractor and two motorbikes in Co Tipperary

A young man has died after a horror crash between two motorbikes and a tractor in Tipperary on Saturday evening.

The man, aged 25, died when the motorbike he was driving collided with another motorbike and a tractor on the N74 at Moatequarter, Kilfeacle at 5pm.

Gardai and ambulance services rushed to the scene with the young man pronounced dead at the scene and removed to University Hospital Waterford.

The other motorcyclist, aged 33, was seriously injured and taken to University Hospital Limerick.

What to do in an emergency situation

The male tractor driver, 21, was uninjured. Garda Forensic Investigators carried out an examination of the scene and the road has now reopened.

Local Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time to come forward to help with the investigation.

A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí in Tipperary Town are appealing for anyone with information in relation to this collision to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling on the N74 between Tipperary Town and Cashel to make this footage available to Gardaí.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Tipperary Town Garda Station on 062 - 80670, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."
