A young man has died after a farm accident in Co Wexford on Thursday morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Ballycarney at 8.30am this morning.
The man, aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to Waterford Mortuary for a post-mortem.
The Health and Safety Authority has begun an investigation at the scene.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí attended the scene of a fatal farm accident that occurred in Ballycarney, Co. Wexford this morning Thursday, 9th July, 2020 at approximately 8:30am.
"A man (30s) was fatally injured as he was working on his farm. His body has been removed to Waterford Mortuary for post mortem.
"The HSA have been notified and investigations are ongoing."
