Young man and teenage girl fighting for their lives after car smashes into wall

A young man and a teenage girl are fighting for their lives after a car crashed into a wall in an early morning smash.

The blue VW Golf collided with a garden wall at around 1am today, leaving two people critically injured.

A 22-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were both taken to hospital after the collision on Mellish Road, Walsall.

Both are described as being in critical condition.

The road was closed for several hours as police carried out a forensic examination of the scene.

The collision happened at around 1am, West Midlands Police said (SWNS.COM)

West Midlands Police are now urging anyone with any information or dash cam footage to get in touch.

A spokesperson said: “Enquiries are underway and we’re urging anyone who saw anything or has any information which may assist us to get in touch.

“If you have any dash cam or mobile phone footage, or saw a blue Golf in the area before the collision please contact us as soon as possible.”
