Young man, 21, dies after emergency services called to property in Scots town

A young man has died in hospital after emergency services were called to a property in a Scottish town.

Police and ambulance crews raced to Cairndhuna Terrace in Wick, Caithness, after the alarm was raised at around 9.50am on Monday, November 22.

Medics attended and the 21-year-old man was rushed to Caithness General Hospital. He died a short time after admission.

A post mortem examination will take place to establish the exact cause of death.

However, officers are not treating the death as suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.50am on Monday, 22 November, 2021 police and ambulance service attended at a property in Cairndhuna Terrace, Wick.

“A 21-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Caithness General Hospital where he died a short time after admission.

“A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death that police are not treating as suspicious.

“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
