An Irish woman tragically died in Germany this week after becoming unwell in a Berlin nightclub.
The woman, who was 25 years of age, took ill in the early hours of Monday morning in the venue.
Local newspaper BZ reported that she received medical attention in the popular techno music spot the Suicide Club in the Friedrichshain district.
The woman was said to be unconscious and emergency services were called by the club's operators.
Medical personnel managed to resuscitate her and she was taken to a nearby clinic for further treatment.
However, she sadly passed away on Wednesday.

A post on the Suicide Club's Instagram account acknowledged the tragedy and issued an update in both German and English.
It said: “Due to the unforeseen and tragic circumstances that occurred last weekend, the suicide club will remain closed throughout the weekend out of respect and piety."
German police confirmed the death of the 25-year-old.
They told the Irish Mirror they are investigating the incident, adding that a post-mortem examination will give them more information.
The Irish Embassy in Berlin is also providing consular assistance to the woman's family.
A Department of Foreign Affairs spokesperson said: "The Department of Foreign Affairs is aware of the case and providing consular assistance. As with all consular cases, the Department does not comment on the details of any specific case."
