Emerging Adelaide forward Riley Thilthorpe has recommitted to the Crows until the end of the 2025 AFL season.

Taken at pick two in last year's national draft, Thilthorpe shapes as a star of the future and a key plank of Adelaide's rebuild.

Recruited from West Adelaide, the 19-year-old was not due to come out of contract until the end of next season but has already signed a fresh three-year deal with the Crows.

"We know how talented he is but what makes him a special player is his work ethic and appetite to get better," Adelaide list manager Justin Reid said.

"He is constantly working on his game with his coaches and doing extra sessions which is a great sign for the future.

"He has made a terrific start to his AFL career and he is a very important part of where we are heading with this young group."

Thilthorpe burst onto the scene in round six by kicking five goals in his AFL debut against Hawthorn.

He backed it up in round 13 by kicking the matchwinning goal in the Crows' heroic comeback win against St Kilda and was then nominated for the Rising Star award.
