Young Glaswegians needed for BBC Scotland's Debate Night

BBC Scotland’s Debate Night is urging people under the age of 30 to apply for their young voters special next week.

The political discussion programme is looking for audience members to put questions directly towards politicians and prominent people in public life.

The event will be held in Glasgow on Wednesday, November 20 and organisers are eager to have a variety of perspectives for a well-rounded discussion.

“You lead the agenda – your questions make the programme. It has never been a more important time to have a programme that lets you speak directly to those in power,” said host Stephen Jardine.

“Whether you have a question about the UK leaving the EU, Indyref2, our NHS, schools, climate change, or other issues affecting your family – we want you to apply and be part of it.

“This is a chance to discuss the issues that matter to you and get your voice heard.”

Audience members need to arrive at the Scottish Youth Theatre at around 6.30pm on the night for an 8am - 9pm start.

To apply please click here or go to bbc.co.uk/debatenight and click “join the Debate Night audience" choosing “20th Nov - Young Voters Glasgow” from the dropdown box when asked “which programme are you applying?”.
