Young Glasgow family loses everything after massive fire rips through home

An urgent appeal has been made to help a Glasgow family whose house was destroyed after a massive fire ripped through it.

The family, which includes a 10-month-old baby boy and three-year-old girl, did not have home insurance and have therefore lost everything.

Glasgow charity The Halliday Foundation, which focuses on helping those that may be struggling, has now teamed up with community organisation Rain or Shine South Lanarkshire to help the family.

They are appealing for the public to donate vital items for the family to begin rebuilding their lives. A gofundme page has also been set up with the goal of raising £3,000 to support the family.

The items needed are:

  • Carpets
  • Wardrobe
  • Chest of drawers
  • Blinds/curtains 90x90
  • Single bedding, double bedding, quilts, pillows,
  • Cot/mattresses
  • Paint brushes
  • Electric oven
  • Fridge/freezer
  • Microwave
  • Kids items

You can get in touch with The Halliday Foundation if you can help over on their Facebook page or donate money on the gofundme page.
