Young girl rushed to hospital with serious injuries after horror early-morning crash in Dublin

A young girl was left hospitalised after a horrible incident on Wednesday morning in Dublin.

The child was struck by a vehicle on the Ninth Lock Road in Clondalkin.

Gardai say the child was taken to Temple Street Hospital with serious injuries.

A spokeswoman told the Irish Mirror: "Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision on Ninth Lock Road, Dublin 22 this morning, Wednesday 14th July 2021 at approximately 10.30am.

"The collision involved a vehicle and a female infant child. The child has been taken to CHI Hospital at Temple Street, for treatment of her injuries.

The incident occurred on the Ninth Lock Road on Wednesday morning (Google Maps)

"The road has since reopened.

"Investigations are ongoing."
