Young girl left with bullet-like head wound after firework hurled at her in Dublin park

A young Dublin girl has been left with a bullet-like head wound after being hit by a firework in a popular Dublin park.

A Garda investigation has been launched into the horror incident at Ringsend Park which left the kid with a big round scar on her forehead.

A picture obtained by Dublin Live shows the girl's face covered in blood as she pulls back her hair to reveal the huge injury from the explosive device.

Sources told Dublin Live that a rocket firework was hurled at the girl during a large gathering at the park this week.

A Garda spokeswoman confirmed the shocking incident to Dublin Live.

She said: "Gardaí are investigating an incident which occurred in Ringsend, Dublin 4 which occurred on the 9th September at approximately 9:00pm."



She added: "A female youth received facial injuries during an incident involving a firework.

No further information is available at this time and investigations are ongoing."
