Police are trying to track down the family of a young girl found wandering the streets alone in north-west London.

Officers were called to Byron Road in Wembley on Monday evening to reports of a young child walking by herself.

She was unable to give her name or address, and is being looked after by officers.

Brent police officers posted an appeal on social media, urging anyone with information to help reunite the girl with her family to come forward.

A post on Twitter read: “Officers have been called to Byron Road in Wembley to reports of a young child found wandering in the street alone.

“We have found this child who is unable to give us her name or tell us where she lives.”

It added: “She is being looked after by officers whilst enquiries continue.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101 and quote CAD 7750/15JUN20.
