Longridge Town FC captain Jordan, who was born in Preston, played for Liverpool FC and Blackburn Rovers during his youth career and was described by friends and family during the inquest as "very athletic".
Jordan was furloughed during lockdown and this compounded the grief he was suffering since the death of his mum.
Tributes have since come pouring in for the 27-year-old as ECHO readers say it is a "heart-breaking" and "devastating" loss.
One user said: "Heart rendering that this should happen. That this is a common occurrence. If you know somebody is suffering or even have an inkling, reach out to them and vice versa.
"YNWA means something to us reds, unfortunately this poor lad thought he did. But this isn't about football. It's anyone."
Another said: "Really, really sad. The one person you should have helped was yourself, Jordan. You'll never know how valuable and loved you were.
"I'm sure you've left a big hole that cannot be filled. Be at peace now, rest easy."
A third wrote: "Every parent's worst nightmare, RIP kid."
The inquest heard on November 2 concerns were raised that Jordan had not been online for some time, which was "out of the ordinary". When his dad Vincent went round to his home he broke into the property but found his son dead.
The coroner's court was packed with Jordan's friends and relatives who described him as someone who "would help anybody".
The 27-year-old was described as "an accomplished joiner" who could "turn his hand to anything".

Barbara Waldron wrote: "R.I.P Jordan, you are back in the arms of your mum, sleep well. So sad."
Sharon Fagan added: "This is so sad, RIP sweetheart."
Jordan's cousin, who spoke at the inquest, said he was "very outgoing and was always smiling", adding that Jordan "loved his family, loved everyone".
