Young Edinburgh entrepreneurs transform garage into luxurious West End flat

Two young investors from Edinburgh transformed a West End garage into a plush one-bedroom flat – and it's now on the market for more than a quarter of a million pounds.

Craig Jenkinson (25), from the Jewel, took on the garage as a renovation project, with business partner Sean Alexander.

The pair purchased the lock-up on Canning Street Lane, in December 2020 for £175,000, and after transforming it into a plush home, it’s back on the market for offers over £259,000.

They applied for a 'change of use' from the council, to turn it into a residence, and once this was granted they got to work on developing the place.

It took six months to turn the garage into a ‘meticulously refurbished’ one-bedroom property.
