A young Dublin girl who was covered in "cuts on her face" after a vicious assault by her vile partner was one of the many people in need who were helped by an organisation of the same name this week.
Charity group People in Need, who help struggling families and homeless people in Dublin, said that they came across the girl who had ran for help after the violent altercation with her partner.
The hardworking and selfless volunteers were on hand to comfort the victim until she had calmed down.
They also provided her with necessary products as well as giving her food before she disappeared back to a hostel that she was adamant to return to.
A member for the charity said: "We had a young girl come to us who had recently been attacked by her partner.
"The cuts on her face were visible and it was obvious she had been in an argument.
"She was hungry and we quickly got her fed as well as giving her toiletry products.
"Once we had talked with her, she wanted to go back to her hostel."
They added: "She then disappeared into the crowd and became just another figure on the street.
"Hopefully she went away with a little more comfort than she came with.
"Maybe, it might have been the light of hope that she needs in her life."
