Young driver unhurt after car ended up on its roof on M6 motorway sliproad

A young driver walked away away from this crash scene unhurt.

The 21-year-old man was at the wheel of a Vauxhall Corsa when it flipped onto its roof on a motorway sliproad near Lymm in Cheshire.

Police and ambulance were called to the scene but the driver escaped the wreckage unharmed.

North West Motorway Police posted a picture of the upturned car on their social media accounts.

Alongside the image, they wrote: "This was the scene that we arrived at earlier at Lymm just off J20 of the M6.

"Thankfully no injuries..."

A spokesman for Cheshire Police confirmed the incident happened on the southbound sliproad of the M6 onto the eastbound M56 shortly before 2.50pm.

He confirmed police and paramedics attended but the driver, aged 21, was unharmed.

He was breathalysed at the scene but the test was negative, he said.

The sliproad did not have to be closed during the incident.
