Young Driver learning school gets new fleet of Vauxhall Corsa superminis

YOUNGSTERS will be able to get their first driving lessons in a fleet of all-new Vauxhall Corsas when the coronavirus lockdown ends.

Pre-17 driving school Young Driver now has 170 SE Premium spec superminis from the Griffin marque. All fitted with dual controls, they have been distributed to teams across the country ready for use when restrictions are lifted.

Young Driver has delivered more than 750,000 driving lessons to 10 to 17-year-olds in the last 10 years, with 70 venues across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The scheme uses fully qualified driving instructors to teach youngsters at private venues, creating realistic road systems that include traffic lights, roundabouts and junctions.

School marketing boss Sue Waterfield said: “Having a great new car to have a lesson in definitely adds to the sense of excitement.”

Vauxhall’s Peter Hope added: “The Corsa is the perfect car to learn to drive in and has always been very popular with driving schools and those buying their first car.”
