Young deer runs free after being prised from fence in West Bridgford by firefighters

Photos depict the moment when a young deer was trapped in iron fencing. Firefighters were called to reports of the animal being stuck on a street in West Bridgford, Nottingham on Tuesday morning (April 19).

The poor animal was helped free by the Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue team. The deer was uninjured and was escorted back to woods by firefighters, the service confirmed.

A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue tweeted at 6pm later on Tuesday following the incident, saying: "Trapped deer rescued by firefighters after caller uses @what3words. A young deer was rescued by West Bridgford & East Leake this morning after it had become trapped in iron fencing.
