Young children with links to Bristol go missing - call police 'immediately' if you see them

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find two missing girls who have family links to Bristol.

Princess Bennell, aged 16 months, and four-year-old Scarlett Daffern, were last seen four days ago in Lancashire.

They went missing from an address in the town of Nelson, and are believed to be with their mother Kelly Rusling and a man who is known to them.

Lancs Live reports Princess, who has short blonde hair and blue eyes, is unable to support her own body weight yet.

Lancashire Police said the family has links to Nelson, Lancaster, Morecambe Keighley and Bristol, and that they are concerned for the girls' welfare.

In a statement on Tuesday, July 21, Sgt Steve Worsley, of Pendle Police, said: "If anybody sees the family or knows where they are, I would ask that they call police immediately.

"Similarly, I would appeal directly to Kelly to make contact if she sees this appeal."

The appeal has been shared thousands of times on social media since police first sought the public's help yesterday, including by Avon and Somerset Police.

Lancashire Police added in a Facebook post: "We’d ask people not to speculate during this time as it isn’t helpful to the primary concern of locating the children.

"They have been reported as missing, we are treating both children as missing people and it is important we find them."

Scarlett is described as having blonde, medium length hair and is of slim build.

Her mum is described as white, with long, straight brown hair, who has a mole on her right cheek.

Anybody with information has been asked to contact police on 101, quoting log LC-20200718-1745.
