Police in West Belfast are appealing for information after a car crash on Thursday.

Two young children were in one of the cars at the time of the crash on Bell Steel Road - it is believed the other car was involved in 'joyriding'.

The children were taken to hospital, a source told Belfast Live.

A PSNI spokesperson said "Police received a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision in the Bell Steel Road area of West Belfast this afternoon (Thursday, February 25).

"Shortly after 2:05pm, it was reported that a black Renault Megane Scenic and a White Audi A3 were involved in the incident. Three people were treated at the scene for their injuries.

"You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at  http://crimestoppers-uk.org/."

Colin Safer Neighbourhood Project said: "Another car crash in Poleglass today. A runaround car crashed into cars on the Woodside Hill on the Bell Steel Road.

"Once again lucky nobody was seriously injured. We wish the people hit a speedy recovery. Four people got out of the runabout and ran into Woodside. If anybody has any information about this crash private message us. We need this stopped."
