A young bartender tragically died when he was dragged to sea while on holiday in Spain.
Ben Lloyd lost his life after getting into trouble in the tide off a beach at Benalmádena in the Costa del Sol, local media has reported.
Emergency services were called to the coast at 8.20pm on Monday but the 33-year-old was reported dead at the scene.
The person who called for help said he had been "unable to pull himself out of the water".
Tributes poured in for the Southend, Essex man following his tragic death, Essex Live reported.

"We have had many great memories going out, having a laugh, getting drunk together!"
Ben is believed to be a bartender at the Lamb and Lion pub in Westcliff.
He attended Harlow College.
"I still can’t believe this has happened," another friend said.

“I am going to miss out little chats and cigarettes together.
“Gone too soon. My thoughts are with all your family and friends at this sad time.
“Fly high my dear friend. Good night and God bless.”
