Young Boys vs Man United: Prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds tonight

Manchester United begin their quest for European glory with a trip to Switzerland to take on Young Boys in tonight’s Group F opener.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have made an excellent start to their Premier League campaign, currently top of the table on goals scored ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool, and the feel-good feeling around the club has been bolstered by the return of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portuguese, who scored twice on his second debut against Newcastle on Saturday, was part of the last United side to win the Champions League back in 2008 and went on to win the competition on a further four occasions with Real Madrid.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Young Boys vs Man United is scheduled for a 5.45pm BST kick-off.

Where to watch Young Boys vs Man United

TV channel: The match will be televised on BT Sport 2.

Live stream: BT Sport subscribers will be able to watch the match online via the website or BT Sport app.

Young Boys vs Man United team news

Scott McTominay is still absent after groin surgery but Fred is likely to return in midfield after sitting out Saturday’s win over Newcastle.

Edinson Cavani also missed that match with a knock and has not travelled to Switzerland, although the striker has a chance of featuring against West Ham on Sunday.

Solskjaer must decide whether to had Ronaldo another start or manage his minutes.

Young Boys vs Man United prediction

It feels like United are a team with serious momentum and such is the quality in Solskjaer’s squad that even if the Norwegian sees this as a chance to rotate slightly, they should still have too much for the Swiss outfit.
