Young boy rushed to hospital with serious injuries after traffic crash in Co Carlow

A young boy has been injured following a traffic collision in Co Carlow today.

Gardai rushed to the scene where the youth, whose age is currently unknown, was injured in Bagenalstown, at around 4pm this afternoon.

He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny with what are believed to be serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A Garda spokeswoman said in a statement: "Gardaí attended the scene of a road traffic collision which occurred in Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow this afternoon, Wednesday 15 July 2020 at approximately 4pm.

"A male (youth) pedestrian was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny with what are believed to be serious but non-life threatening injuries.

"Investigations are ongoing."
