A young boy is reportedly in a serious but stable condition after he was pulled from a pool at Wyong on Saturday.

Several paramedics and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were called to the scene after reports a 12 year-old has been pulled unconscious from a swimming pool, a spokesperson for the Rescue Helicopter Service said.

CPR as performed on the boy before paramedics took over treatment at the scene. The helicopter and critical care medical team landed adjacent to the pool a short time later.

Initial reports by the Rescue Helicopter Service said that, owing to the boy's condition, he was placed into an induced coma and on life support by the critical care medical team.

Four NSW Ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene, just before 11am, where paramedics treated the boy before he was flown to John Hunter Hospital.
