Young boy dodges death as he's run over by high-speed train - but walks away

Unbelievable footage has emerged of a young boy dodging death by laying flat on the ground as a high-speed train hurtles over him.

The video, taken at Wadsa railway station in India, shows numerous carriages going over the youngster's still body as a dozen shocked onlookers wait for it to pass.

When it eventually does, the boy slowly starts to move - then lugs his backpack off the floor and jumps to his feet before walking off the tracks.

Rail users can be heard letting out a collective sigh of relief, with one saying "he is so brave" and another exclaiming "from where do people get such courage".

According to local reports, the youngster was crossing the railway tracks when he saw the high-speed train approaching and he instantly lay down on the floor.

After the miraculous escape, he is seen staying down on his haunches with his hands on his head - clearly still in shock.

Earlier this year, a woman had a near-miss with the Flying Scotsman at a train station in Gloucestershire.

Footage showed the trainspotter sticking her head in the path of the oncoming locomotive while trying to take a photo, before a quick-thinking train station worker moved her out the way just in time.

The Flying Scotsman tours the UK throughout the summer, with a tour from London Victoria through Surrey and Sussex on Saturday.
