Young boy airlifted to hospital in Keynsham

An air ambulance landed in Keynsham yesterday (October 24) as emergency services rushed to deal with a medical emergency.

A young boy was airlifted to hospital following the call-out to Wellsway and the road was closed for around an hour.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesperson said: "We were called by ambulance to assist with a medical incident in the Wellsway area of Keynsham shortly after 2pm.

"We provided support to enable the air ambulance to attend the incident and take a young boy to hospital. Road re-opened at 3.10pm."

An ambulance service spokesperson said crews were responding to an incident at a private address. They declined to offer any further information.
