A young boy was attacked in a terrifying assault in Co Dublin on Friday night.
The incident happened at Melrose Green in Kinsealy at around 7.30 pm.
The schoolboy, 12, was approached by two teens who asked him to get off his bike, Dublin Live reports.
The boy was allegedly punched in the face before the teens fled the scene running towards Drynam Hall.
A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí are investigating an incident of assault that is reported to have occurred in Kinsealy, Co. Dublin yesterday evening, Friday 10 th September 2021 at approximately 7.30pm.
"A male youth was injured during the incident. Investigations are ongoing."
