Young asylum seeker in Dublin has everything he owns taken from him after two black bags full of all his belongings go missing

An asylum seeker in Dublin has had everything he owns taken from him after two black bags full of all that he owns went missing.

And a public appeal has been launched to get back the young man's belongings.

The two black bags went missing after being placed outside Balseskin Reception Centre in St Margaret's in North County Dublin.

The bags contained all of the young man's clothes, documents, and personal mementos.

Fingal Communities Against Racism have launched an appeal to locate the bags and get them back to their rightful owner.

"If you have, or know who has, these items, please get in touch with us so that we can return them to him," they said.

"Contact us please if you have any information, and please share this appeal widely across Dublin. Thank you."
